A current application example from the mechanical engineering sector illustrates this approach:
A custom-developed multiple hose system made of polyurethane (PU) was integrated into a complex machine. It replaces conventional distribution systems and supplies several compressed air modules simultaneously. The flow rate is regulated via a central valve. PU Multiple tubes as an alternative to PFA tubes
The connection stability of classic hose systems can be impaired, particularly in applications with high ambient temperatures. This can lead to leaks and increased maintenance costs. In such cases, the material-locking multiple tubes developed by the Masterflex Group offer a thermally stable alternative - also as an option to PFA tubes, depending on the application.

From PFA to TPU - Masterflex Group as technology leader & development partner in hose/tubing technology
Masterflex Group serves customer requests for high-performance hose systems - with or without the material PFA - either by utilizing strong Group synergies or through targeted development work. Currently, the material alternatives for classic PFA applications are still very limited. Due to their special mechanical properties, fluoropolymers are still among the best-performing plastics for high-temperature and chemical applications. Thanks to the combined expertise within our group of companies, we offer a broad range of technologies for a wide variety of applications. We realize hose inquiries and development projects with high-performance fluoropolymers such as PFA together with our sister company APT in Düsseldorf - the expert for fluoropolymer processing within the group.
