Where Sand, Gravel, and Stone Put Conveyor Hoses to the Test
In sand and gravel pits, quarries, and conveying systems, abrasion-resistant PU conveyor hoses are constantly put to the test. In feldspar processing, approximately 3-meter-long DN 45 hoses remove moisture. The Master-PUR Performance remains stable despite fluctuations in negative pressure; its smooth inner surface helps flush out particles along with the water. The result: fewer deposits and a stable extraction process.
PU Conveyor Hoses for Plaster, Mortar, and Dry Mixes
Fine grain size, high friction during continuous operation
In plaster and mortar plants, abrasive quartz sand places particularly heavy demands on conveyor lines. In one real-world case, sand up to 0.4 mm in size had severely worn a metal pipe after a bend. A Master-PUR Inline pipe, DN 80 and 2.8 m long, handles this section; the smooth inner lining provides protection within the material flow, and the loose flange simplifies installation.

In construction debris processing, both the suction hose and the connection must be wear-resistant and easy to maintain. In a concrete dust extraction system, a MASTER-PUR L TRIVOLUTION in DN 80 with a screw-on Combiflex PU conical flange replaced a line that was wearing out too quickly. In this application, significantly better durability, easier installation, and a considerably longer service life have been documented.

In street sweepers, abrasion-resistant PUR suction hoses transport leaves and dust as well as gravel, glass, and stones. Typical diameters ranging from 200 to 400 mm ensure a free flow of material; high compressibility allows the hoses to conform to brush systems, lifting mechanisms, and suction arms. The lightweight design of the hose systems makes them easy to handle in daily use. Their resistance to microbes and hydrolysis ensures that the extraction of damp residues is safe and poses no health risks.

Wherever sand, gravel, crushed stone, cement, minerals, and rock are extracted or vacuumed up, hose systems are subjected to extreme stresses. Highly flexible, abrasion-resistant suction and conveyor hoses made of polyurethane ensure high abrasion and vacuum resistance, reliable material flow, and the necessary flexibility in demanding continuous operation in the construction industry, the aggregates industry, and in suction and vacuum excavation technology.
Municipal Cleaning
Abrasion-resistant suction hoses for urban areas, roads, and construction sites: They reliably transport leaves, grit, mud, broken glass, gravel, and soil—even in wet conditions, when in motion, and under high negative pressure. Depending on the application, particularly robust, flexible, and microbe- and hydrolysis-resistant PU solutions are used.
Our hoses, made of polyurethane, share one common characteristic: significantly greater abrasion resistance than rubber or soft PVC—measured in accordance with DIN ISO 4649 (Determination of Abrasion Resistance). Many polyurethane conveying and suction hoses also feature a transparent wall, allowing you to monitor the material flow inside the hose at all times and detect malfunctions early on. All of our polyurethane suction and conveying hoses are also free of halogens and plasticizers.
In addition to these more general properties, we enhance the polyurethane material in many standard hoses with additives to provide further, customized properties. For example, we use polyurethanes with specifically enhanced material properties to manufacture our Flamex hoses. These flame-retardant PU hoses are type-tested in accordance with DIN 4102-B1 and meet the safety requirements of the Holz-BG (BGI 739-2).
Polyurethane is also one of the materials to which we add conductive carbon black or other additives. From such electrically conductive materials, we manufacture conductive hoses, some of which you will also find in this product group.
