5. Newsletter

On our website we offer you the possibility to subscribe to our newsletter. If you have consented to receive our newsletter, we will use your e-mail address, company, postcode/town, title and surname to send you information about products and services, promotions, competitions and customer satisfaction surveys. We store and process this data for the purpose of sending the newsletter.

The registration to the newsletter takes place only after successful confirmation of the e-mail address by the receiver. For this purpose, the recipient receives a so-called double opt-in mailing with a confirmation link immediately after sending the newsletter registration form. Only by calling the confirmation link the registration takes place to the newsletter.

To prove a valid consent to receive the newsletter date and time of the call of the confirmation link, the IP address of the calling user and the e-mail address of the recipient are stored together in a log file. In addition, a copy of the double opt-in mailing is stored and archived in an audit-proof manner.

The legal basis for data processing for newsletters is your consent pursuant to Article 6 paragraph 1 letter a) GDPR and Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f) in conjunction with recital 47 GDPR.

We use so-called newsletter tracking in our newsletters. In the process, recipient actions (opening a mailing, clicking on text and image links, downloading images) are recorded and stored pseudonymised for statistical purposes. It is not possible to draw conclusions about individual recipients from the stored data.

The recipient can cancel the newsletter at any time and thus revoke his consent to receive the newsletter. The recipient has the possibility to cancel the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link contained in each newsletter.

6.3. Cookies

We use cookies on our website in order to offer an extensive range of functions, to make the use more comfortable and to be able to optimise our offers. Cookies are small text files that are generated by a web server and stored on your computer by means of the web browser used during your online visit.

We use so-called "session cookies" for this purpose. These are automatically deleted after the end of your browser session.

We also use long-term cookies, which are primarily used to provide you with permanently recurring settings as a visitor to our website. This enables us to adapt our website individually to your wishes. Long-term cookies also enable us to analyse the usage behaviour of visitors, but only within the validity period of the cookie.

In addition, further cookies (so-called "third party cookies") may also be set by their providers in connection with the integration of certain third-party services (see above).

If you do not wish cookies to be used, you can prevent cookies from being saved on your device by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. Please note that this may restrict the functionality and scope of our services. In addition, we will only set certain cookies if you have given your prior consent (see below). You can also make use of special objection options for certain cookies (see below). Please refer to the information in the following tables for detailed information on the type, scope, purposes, legal basis and possible objections to data processing in connection with these cookies.

The following cookies are used on our website (the following information may be provided on a sub-site):

a. Session ID

To make it easier for you to browse our website, we use a session identifier, which is assigned to each visitor at the beginning of each use of our website. This session ID enables our server to recognize you or your computer/browser as the same visitor even though your IP address may have changed in the meantime. This session ID enables the assignment of several related requests of a user to one session. The session ID cookie we use is only valid until the end of a session. It is automatically deleted when you close your browser.

b. Matamo (formerly Piwik)

Our website uses Matomo (formerly Piwik), an open source software for statistical evaluation of visitor access. Matomo uses cookies which are stored on your computer and which enable an anonymous analysis of your use of the website. A conclusion on a certain person is not possible, because your IP address is anonymized immediately after the processing and before the storage.

c. Facebook - Buttons

This website uses so-called "social plugins" of the social network Facebook which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. These social plugins can be recognized by the Facebook logo.

With the "Like button" and the "Share button" you can express your consent to our online offer or simply recommend our content to your friends via Facebook. We have decided not to include these buttons already activated on our pages. They must first be activated by you with a mouse click. The reason for this is that data is transferred directly to Facebook by integrating buttons that have already been activated. This would theoretically allow Facebook to create surfing profiles of the users of our website. Our deactivated buttons do not contact Facebook. The buttons are only active after you have activated the function of the buttons by clicking on them. Only from this moment on will a connection to the Facebook servers be established and you can use their functions. This activation only applies to your current visit to our website. With each new call you have to activate the buttons again to be able to use them. If you are not logged in to Facebook, you will be prompted to log in to Facebook in a new window and then have the opportunity to submit your recommendation or share content. If you are already logged in to Facebook, you can submit your recommendation without having to open another window.

We have no control over the amount of information Facebook collects in this way. If the button is activated, Facebook will in any case receive the information that you have accessed the respective page of our website. If you are logged in to Facebook at the same time, Facebook can assign the corresponding calls to your account. If you also interact with the social plugins, i.e. click on the "Like" button, the corresponding information is transmitted to Facebook. Even if you are not a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to find out your IP address via the social plugin and save it if necessary. For details on the purpose and scope of data processing, collection and use by Facebook and your related rights and setting options, please refer to the Facebook Privacy Notice:

Unless you want Facebook to collect information about you through our website and link it to your member information, do not click the buttons (as described above).

d. Vimeo – Video Plugin (Google Analytics / New Relic)

To present you our product videos, there is a plugin implemented on our website from Vimeo LCC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA ("Vimeo"). This plugin uses cookies. As soon as you access a subpage of our website on which such plugins are installed, a direct connection is established between your browser and the servers of Vimeo LCC. Due to this direct connection, the data required for this connection is transmitted to the Vimeo LCC as described in Section II.1.

If you have a Vimeo account and are logged into it while using our website, Vimeo LCC may assign your visit to our website to your account. If you click on one of our videos, Vimeo LCC will receive this information. Whether and to what extent Vimeo LCC uses this data is beyond our control. In this regard, we refer you to the further information provided by Vimeo LCC:

If you do not want cookies to be sent to Vimeo LCC, please disable the storage of cookies in your browser for the Vimeo LLC website or set your browser so that cookies are generally not stored on your computer.

The Vimeo plugin also uses other plugins over which we have no control. As far as we know, the following plugins are used:

Google Analytics

The Vimeo Plugin uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. based on the use of cookies. ("Google"). The Google Analytics cookie enables the analysis of your use of the Vimeo plugin. The information generated by the cookie about your use is usually transmitted to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there. Google Analytics is used to evaluate your use of the Vimeo plugins, to compile reports on activities and to provide other services associated with the use and internet usage. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link.

Further information can be found at or (general information on Google Analytics and data protection at Google).

New Relic

The Vimeo plug-in also uses the "New Relic" plug-in from New Relic Inc., 188 Spear Street, Suite 1200, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. This plugin is used for the technical analysis of the servers used to monitor the availability and performance of the Vimeo plugin. For this purpose, system relevant data such as usage times, hardware and software used are collected and user profiles are created. Cookies are used for this purpose.

If you call up a subpage of our website on which the New Relic Plugin is active, a direct connection to the servers of New Relic is established. New Relic is informed of this with regard to the data already listed under II.1 Logfiles.  If you have a user account with New Relic and are logged in, New Relic can assign your visit to your account.

The exact purpose and scope of data collection and processing by New Relic, as well as the related rights and privacy settings, can be found in New Relic's Privacy Policy:

If you do not wish New Relic to collect your data, you can prevent this at any time by deactivating cookies in your browser settings.
